Comparative Effectiveness Resources
Partnering for Patients and Physicians
MAOPS is excited to be an official partner of the Effective Health Care Program at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The program offers members and their patients FREE healthcare tools and evidence-based summaries designed to provide information about patient centered outcomes research, also known as comparative effectiveness research. This research compares drugs, medical devices, tests, surgeries, or ways to deliver healthcare. Research summaries made available through AHRQ's Effective Health Care Program are designed to help clinicians and patients compare a variety of healthcare interventions and treatments and understand the benefits, harms, and side effects. Free research summaries are also available to help patients prepare for their medical appointments and work together with clinicians to determine the best treatment options. MAOPS is one of over 350 partners in the Effective Health Care Program nationwide.
